2025 has seen the widespread use of generative AI models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, and Google’s Gemini across the software industry. Developers and QA teams now routinely employ these AI assistants for tasks such as writing documentation and generating code. In QA specifically, 54% of professionals are using ChatGPT, primarily for support tasks like generating test cases or code snippets and debugging help. Most teams are still not using specialized QA AI solutions (e.g. intelligent test prioritization or defect analysis), and the promised gains remain limited in practice .
The QA industry remains lagged behind when it comes to true AI-driven automation that understands product context and integration complexity. One reason is that many “AI-powered” testing tools today are essentially brittle script generators – they lack real product awareness and can’t adapt to system changes. In contrast, the next generation of context-aware AI testing can “understand your entire application architecture”, learning your APIs, UI components, and business logic patterns – capabilities largely absent from mainstream QA tooling so far. This session is a call to action for QA professionals to rise above this stagnation. Javed Ansari is Senior Director – Platform Engineering at Comviva, leading cross-product transformation across cloud, DevSecOps, performance engineering, automation, data, and security. He started his career in QA and rose to become the Head of Platform Engineering today.
He has led large-scale deliveries in fintech/BFSI, including heading QA to launch PayZapp and Pixel Credit Card (HDFC Bank), and now drives platform standards and engineering maturity across product lines. Javed builds outcome-oriented solutions that convert engineering signals into decisions, including Zyro (AI-assisted test development), RevSyncAI (revenue intelligence with automated campaign pipelines), and NerveHub – Command Center (environment health, stability, and operational visibility for DFS at Comviva).
